Melanie Jill Vickers
Hey y’all! I’m a southern girl through and through. I was raised on sweet tea and Jesus in South Georgia. After college, I spent some time in Tennessee before settling down in sunny Jacksonville, Florida. Now you know why I named my business Southern Style Insurance!
Growing up, chronic asthma and allergies made me a regular patient of the emergency room and my pediatrician’s office. Pills, inhalers, breathing treatments and allergy shots year-round helped me have a somewhat normal childhood. With no health insurance… I watched my family do without so I could have what I needed. Now you can understand my passion for helping families protect against financial loss with health insurance.
Having worked in the health coverage industry full time since 2016, I’ve gained the knowledge and experience to help families navigate their coverage options to protect their assets and live their best lives!

With over 20 years of experience in sales leadership, channel management, and relationship development, I’ve built my career on one core principle: understanding people’s needs and delivering solutions that truly make a difference. Throughout my career, I’ve been recognized for recruiting, developing, and empowering top talent, and for consistently delivering results for both clients and organizations.
Now, I’m excited to apply that same passion and expertise as a Health Insurance Broker with Southern Style Insurance. Health Insurance is complex, and my mission is to simplify the process for my clients—helping them navigate their options with clarity and confidence. Just as I’ve done in every stage of my career, I focus on listening, educating, and guiding people toward solutions that fit their unique needs.
